Luzern

Beautiful wild swans in Lake Luzern

On the morning of June 1, we arrived in Zurich, a place I had never been. Besides the airport, we did not see much of the city as we were exhausted and desperate to see my parents home.  An hour drive away, we arrived in a breathtaking little village, Luzern.  My parents' modern condo sits next to a traditional Swiss cottage and the whole city mirrors this surprisingly great contrast: old and new.  I instantly fell in love with their home, all of our furniture from Paris inside a house of windows overlooking a majestic lake surrounded by mountains.  The actual city of Luzern is picturesque, true to its's Swiss architecture, but filled with designer boutiques and modern restaurants.  We will definitely be back to see my parents soon!

Old wooden bridge lined with gorgeous flowers

 Swiss House

Us at delicious Opus restaurant (every table has it's own herb - we had a basil-mint cross breed)

Amazing Essie nail bar at Globus (department store)

 Picturesque lake and surroundings

No city is ever complete until it has a Starbucks
